Molly...
Great ! You got a couple I missed.
Your # 6.) is interesting......We usually think of SLP as important prior to RSP......but it is true that as we depart from SLP during counterflex we can tear open an otherwise tight loop. This is most likely to happen with very limber (slow action) rods. Timing a brief extension of the haul for a fraction of a second following RSP can slightly diminish that effect.
Your #s 7 and 8 are true, too. That brings me to remember that the haul can magnify the curve of curve casts, hooks, and mends, too.
WELL DONE !!!

Gordy here is my list:
1. Reduces the physical effort required of the rod hand. By utilizing
the haul, the caster can carry more line with less effort and therefore
maintain a SLP of the rod tip (control).
12. Increases line speed which helps with distance, accuracy and wind
casting.
3. Increases rod load during the long pull of the haul hand (like the
rods action). The line hand mirrors the rod hand or rods action.
During the speed up and stop of the line hand (haul) and rod hand, line
speed is generated.
4. Removes unwanted slack in the line
5. Assists during water pick-ups
6. The haul can minimize counterflex of the rod tip contributing to a
SLP of the rod tip.
7. Adds to the ?kick? on hook casts.
8. Increases sharpness on tuck and tug casts.
