[GH] I made contact with Paul Arden :
Paul,
We'd really like to have your input on the idea of having the PULD as a task on either the CCI exam ..... or in more detail on the MCI test.
I recall that a while back, you had had a detailed discussion on SL as to the use of this teaching technique including details on how it should be administered and things to look for as this is done.
Best,
Gordy

[GH] From Mike Heritage :
This whole discussion came at the perfect time for me as I prepped for the masters test so it's a big thank you from me.
With regard to the pu/ld; I always thought it strange that the first task for the CCI was the overhead cast. The emphasis is on teaching and the o/h was not the place I started a beginner from (at the time). When asked to perform the first task I pointed this out and said I usually started with the pu/ld. The assessor said ok, carry on, so I did a few pu/lds and then moved to the o/h as I would if I had been instructing. I think it is too simple a task for a masters but it should be task #1 in the CCI.

[GH] From Phil Gay :
Gordy,
On the PULD issue I think it may better be suited to the CI explain and demonstrate section.

[GH] Phil,
That does make sense.
