Here is one rendition of the original copyrighted article on the Mulson cast.  (With express permission granted for use by our Study Group alone.) 

It was graciously sent to us by co-author, Dan Mcrimmon.

The pictures of this one show Joe Mulson as the caster. 

Note the shape of the loop, its height above the water and (very important) the belly of the fly line on the water.
