Walter & Group........
I found Ally's, "PLANNING A FISHING COURSE" attachment in the deep dark
recesses of my hard drive.
Go through it as a power point presentation and then go back and read his
related message.

From Troy Miller on striking techniques for Tarpon:-

I'd
LOVE to hear your tarpon stories, with ALL the details you could remember.
The point about waiting an agonizingly long time before striking, to the point
that the critter is swimming away and putting a bend in the rod -- that explains
why I've missed the hookset on every poon I've ever enticed (admittedly very few
in total). The one baby that I did actually catch had actually eaten the
fly and my line started going sideways following the fish before I realized he
had it in his mouth. It was under 20 lbs, and I did a strip strike with
some sweep and hooked up. Probably would not have been effective on a
larger fish.
You
should write a book!!
