In line with some of our recent messages, I have a one question quiz for you:
QUESTION : List the uses and accomplishments of a haul.  (Off the top of my head, I can think of 5.)

1- Division of work load, especially helpful when casting heavier rods.  That which is considered heavy depends on the individual person and their personal strengths.

2- Used for driving tight loops in head winds.  (High backcast and low forward cast to just above the water.)  (The 180 degree rule.)

3- Necessary for long distance casts.

4-  What Jason Borger refers to as a "Check Haul" in accurate fly placement and aiding in various mend cast such as the dump cast..

5- I like Macauley Lords best, "Just for showing off" for those of us who need the attention!

    Thanks Jerry
