    Yes that is another way to do it.

    On the MCI test, however, most of the examiners will be looking for tight loops, especially on the back casts......not only for various methods of hitting the target.

    Gordy, Another way you could accomplish # 6 would be with a oval cast off the 40 foot target, come forward and stop short over the 20 foot target and the fly will float down to the 20 foot target, takes some practice, but it can be done. I went outside and fooled around with different ways of doing # 6. Your question did not request tight loops, so floating the fly down off the oval cast would be one way of dropping a fly into the ring of a rising trout. Give me a C for trying! We have 2 new CCIs in Lafayette,LA, Keth Richard and Rusty Dunn, they passed Saturday, Tom Jindra did the honors. Bob
