    Hi Gordy,

Here?s my best shot from memory

    1) Lefty Kreh         F) Four principles of the Cast

    AGREE.

    2) Ed Jaworowski     E) Four rules of casting.

THE FIRST PARAGRAPH IN ED'S BOOK, "THE CAST" IS ENTITLED, "THE FOUR PRINCIPLES, four factors that determine every cast."

    3) Joan Wulff        A) Power Snap

    AGREE.

    4) Jason Borger       I) Modular Symbology

    YES.

    5) Tom White         G) Use a BIG CRAYON.

    CORRECT.

    6) McCauley Lord      H) Pop-stop

YES.  ERNIE SCHWIEBERT ONCE USED THE SAME TERM.

    7) Mel Kreiger         C) Slinging the line

YES.  (SEE P. 5 OF HIS BOOK, "THE ESSENCE OF FLY CASTING)

    8) Gary Borger                K) "There are only 2 ways to cast.  Straight and curved."

    CORRECT.

    9) Joe Brooks         B) Hammering a nail

PROBABLY TRUE.  ANOTHER EXPERT USED THIS ANALOGY, TOO......NOT JIM GREEN..  (TO QUOTE JIM GREEN FROM P. 19 OF HIS BOOK:  ".....THE MOTION REQUIRED IS NOT THE SAME AS THAT OF SWINGING A HAMMER OR THROWING A BALL.")

    10) Lee Wulff         J) Line speed, line speed, line speed.

CAN YOU FIND THE QUOTE ON THIS ONE ?

    11) Jim Green           D) Unrolling a loop to a target

THE EXACT WORDING IS LEFTY'S....HOWEVER YOU ARE NOT WRONG.  ON P.19 OF HIS BOOK, "FLY CASTING FROM THE BEGINNING", JIM WROTE, "THE SECRET OF FLY CASTING IS TO MOVE THE ROD IN SUCH A WAY AS TO CREATE A LOOP THAT WILL UNROLL AND DEPOSIT THE LINE STRAIGHT UPON THE WATER."

    5) Tom White

    6) McCauley Lord

    7) Mel Kergier

    8) Gary Borger

    9) Joe Brooks

    10) Lee Wulff

    11) Jim Green

    A) Power Snap

    B) Hammering a nail

    C) Slinging the line

    D) Unrolling a loop to a target

    E) Four rules of casting.

    F) Four principles of the Cast

Now some of these you might have to look up in their books others you should know. As an instructor you might be asked by a student "Well Tom says to break your wrist. But Joe Said not to break your wrist' Which is Right?"

Think on this question and lets see just what you might tell the student.
