Interesting feedback in that attachment. I'll pass it on to our
Group.
I'm pleased to see that both CCI and MCI candidates, in general, are
getting better at roll casting. It used to be that many of them needed
that extra resistance provided by the examiner standing on the leader, or a
"roll casting tool" for lawn casting. Now, many are sufficiently practiced
that they can perform the roll casting tasks without the need for this.
I look at the bent rod during counterflex as not loaded against the inertia
of the line at all....but by the inertia of the rod tip which tends to keep
moving after the butt section of the rod has abruptly stopped.
(In keeping with NEWTON'S LAW of inertia which states, "Objects at
rest tend to remain at rest. Objects in motion tend to remain in
motion.")
