As you know, my personal preference for practice, demo, and testing, is to
use a "fly" made from white package yarn.....one of the three strands, 1 1/2"
long tied on a # 14 hook with the hook bend and most of the shank cut off.
I didn't find that that bass leader turned over quite as positively as the
steeper taper which I made up on the bench.
