Peter Minnick sent me pictures of a wolf salmon fishing. I placed them in attachments.
While I've never seen a wolf do this, I remember this place well. Bob Andreae and I spent lots of time fascinated as we watched the bears fishing for sockeyes at this spot in the Valley of the Ten Thousand Smokes, Katmi, Alaska. I even had a bear take a salmon off my line farther downstream from this point.
We learned: When a bear wants your salmon as he snorkels down river, JUST BREAK OFF THE FISH AND LET HIM HAVE IT!
