    Been there.
     
    I was using these terms for a while ....... then some students were asking whether a, "left curve" meant the fly was to go to the left or what they saw as the, "curve" (the belly or apex of the layout) was to go to the left.
     
    Then I began to ask for:  A curve cast with fly going to the left   (or right) and have had no problems since doing that.
