This same SCAM was attempted on me as a Guide earlier this year. I knw it was a scam after the second email and the inconsistancies when I started to qualify what type of fishing they wanted to do, (they had no clue). I went along with it until I got the money orders from them and their request for a refund. My wife is with the local police and they said there is nothing they would do to catch the potential crooks and when i went to my local bank they said there was nothing I could do if I deposited them because they were money orders and non traceable.
I called the FFF office to advise them that someone is pulling our info from one of the FFF lists and working the scam. I guess the message isn't getting out till now.

Tip for those of you who have joined the Group recently:
For years I've been experimenting with various materials to help protect my fly tackle including rod guides, wrappings, etc. from the ravages of our tropical salty atmosphere.
