This note from Kyle Hand to Alan Crise.  I've learned some interesting bits of history from this one, too.

This is the site I was talking about at the last deal we did at your place.  Pretty neat site"

I am getting ready to go to NJ for the International Symposium.  I am pretty excited to go and tie with the “Big boys”.  Kind of intimidating actually.

Other places to go for information on the history of fly casting include the books by Jim Green, Vince Marinaro, Charles Ritz, Frank Steel, Writings listed in, "The Flyfisher's Classic Library" (3 North St., Ashburton, lDevon TQ13 7QJ, uk), Roderick Haig Brown,Doug Swisher & Carl Richards and Cliff Netherton.

A wealth of historical fly fishing history is found in Vol I of Ernie Schwiebert's, TROUT.  Upon digesting that, one is impressed by the incredible fly fishing legacy we've inherited !
