I frequently use the Belgian cast to retrieve line and make a forward cast all in one motion.

COMMENT: Yes.  One might look at this one as a water haul (tension pickup) using a horizontal rod plane with a continuous tension back cast coming around for a forward delivery cast with an off vertical rod plane.  No stop on the back cast.

 How would you would teach this Belgian Cast to an intermediate level student?
