Walter & Group............
In the past few weeks, several of you MCCI candidates have sent me messages as to how to know when one is really ready to take the exam.
I'm reminded of a statement that Ken Cole made a year or so ago :-
Do not take the exam when you THINK you are ready. Take it when you KNOW you are ready !
As Jim Valle so clearly stated in his recent LOOP article on getting ready for the exam, it is possible that you can pass without having worked with an MCCI or a CBOG. The odds, however, are vastly in your favor if you have worked with one or (better, yet) several of these teachers before taking it.
Your chances of being successful are even higher if you have taken the trouble to seek out a CBOG and take a practice exam, first. Most if not all of our Board members will be happy to do that for you. That practice exam is usually a great preparation move. MUCH BETTER THAN SIGNING UP FOR THE REAL THING when you are not totally confident of passing, partly because it is not a good learning learning experience when you are tense and, "up-tight" on the pan as you do that.
Don't be bashful about asking. All you have to do is to make contact with one of us and we'll try to set up a time for your, "pre-test". We are all super busy during conclaves, so that isn't usually a good time to try to do it. Believe me ... it is worth a long drive or even a plane ticket !
Most candidates who have been truly ready and done well on their MCCI exams had a pleasant experience as they took the actual exam. That's because they were completely prepared ........ and they knew it.
