"Pull"....not, "push"

Gordy,
Next time you go out to cast try this; think of the stroke, in both
directions, as a pull - not a push -and see if the acceleration, or lack of it,
isn't more apparent. It might take a few strokes to get the mind set of pulling
before you can focus on the acceleration, but try it and let me know if it works
for you.

Yes. Makes a big difference. We've been teaching this concept
for some time, now. Start with a "pull", get into a good rod load, THEN
use the angular change of the butt section of the rod (casting arc) as you go in
to your, "power snap."
You have brought up a good point, here !
