Walter & Group ....
[GH] MCI candidates who pass and become Masters will have to qualify to be on examining teams. Two masters may test a CCI candidate.
For that reason, it is a good idea for Master candidates to become aware of some of the problems which can come up; some of them unanticipated, to gain an appreciation for how they may be handled.

[GH] From Rick Whorwood on videoing CCI exams:
Hi Gordy
Has this question ever been asked ? Marty Tannhill and I are giving a CCI test in Sherbrooke Quebec in a few weeks, the fellow that has been working with 4 of the students (5 to be tested), insists on wanting to video it. I would be very interested in what you and the group would do in this situation and how you might deal with it ? Thanks Gordy.

[GH] Rick,
First of all: Both examiners and the candidate must agree as to whether or not to allow an observer, even if no camera is involved.
Taking the test while being videoed might place some extra stress on the candidate. In some cases it could add stress to the examiners which might alter the course of the exam.
Before doing it, I'd want to be sure that the candidate is actually keen on it ....not just giving the OK.
Since this may not have come up previously, I'd be more comfortable with a ruling by the CBOG before allowing it.
One has to be careful when more than one candidate is involved. One or more of them might be getting "butterflies in the stomach" over it sufficient to result in a flunk .... and yet not be willing to acknowledge that in front of the willing candidates.
How would I handle it ? I'd point out to the coach the danger of placing too much hidden stress on the candidates and not allow it.
If the coach wishes to make a video of an exam, then I'd be OK with taking one or two of the candidates WHO HAVE ALREADY PASSED and have them go through it again for recording purposes. Problem with that is it would take up double the examiner's time.
I can envisage a day in the future when this might not only be OK, but encouraged and perhaps become routine. I think simply allowing it would be treading on thin ice.
These are my personal thoughts.
Let's see how others in our Study Group would handle it.

Thanks Gordy
I would be interested to see what the group has to say. At this point Marty and I agree that it's not a good idea and have told them so.
