    Walter & Group...

[GH]  I sent this as part of our last message.  A goof !

" I recall Tom teaching his students the use of very limited overhang as he would explain that..."Fat line can't turn over skinny line ! " ""

    >From Phil Gay:

    Gordy,

Did Tom say fat line can't turn over skinny line or the other way around?

    [GH]  Should have read:

"SKINNY LINE CAN'T TURN OVER FAT LINE..."

Tom White used that teaching concept most often when teaching roll casting.

    >From a mechanics standpoint, it would have been a bit more accurate to have said:

" LIGHT LINE CAN'T TURNOVER HEAVY LINE..."  since the turnover capacity is largely related to the difference in mass distribution of the different line sections.
