Instructor has demonstrated a great example of an instructor giving a complete beginner a poor start in her learning to cast by skipping an explanation of the tackle she is about to use and how to set it up correctly before he gets to grip, stance etc.
Instructor - “ Students never had a rod in their hand before”
Explanation might begin with;
Brief explanation of fly some different lines and, the purpose of a fly line
e.g.,covering floating, sinking, weight of the line carries the fly to the target.
Brief explanation of a fly rod and its relationship to the fly line and the intended fishing conditions
e.g., cover rod lengths, matching weights, action, presentation.
Brief explanation of leaders and tippet and their roles in presenting the fly to the target.
e.g., design, length, strength, sink, float.
Then; explain and demonstration the correct way to line up the fly rod.
Now we are ready to begin grip, stance etc..

OK, as far as you went.
My critique of your answer:
You became "locked on" the instructor's teaching performance and excluded some other things.
1. If you are taking an exam, you must LISTEN TO / READ THE QUESTION !!and tailor your answer exactly to what is asked.
You did answer 1. b.), but you ignored question 1. a.).
2. Question 2 on formulating one oral question was not answered.
As we all know, some politicians purposely respond to a question by giving answers which may be correct, but are answers to different questions than the ones asked !
You gave correct answers.... but didn't address all of the questions. A candidate must not fall into that response mode.
I'll grade with a "Gentleman's,'C' "

Hello Gordy,
1A. It seems like the sun is out of position. The instructor is in the shadow so that would mean that the sun is NOT in his eyes where it should be. When he demonstrates the cast, the instructor should turn the opposite way so that the students can see his entire casting arm and it isn't obscured by his body. There was no real instruction of what he was doing with the rod. He did not describe the cast adequately before demonstrating.
1B. While we cannot always control the environment that we teach in, the mower would be a huge distraction to the students. It would also be a pain as an instructor having to talk over it. I would avoid it if I could. I would also omit the other grip types except the one I was going to teach. No sense showing them something that you are not going to re-enforce in the lesson. Maybe mention that there are others, but I wouldn't elaborate. Again, there was no real description of the cast before or during the demo.
2. In respect to group dynamics and the environment that you are teaching in, how would you situate the group and yourself as the instructor?
A couple of other observations came to me on the drive home from work:
1. He mentioned that he was checking the setup. I would have all of the setups checked and ready to go BEFORE my students got there. If they were bringing their own gear I would casually check them before the actual session started.
2. He also mentioned that these were absolute beginners that had never touched a rod before. I would go through the parts of the outfit (rod parts, reel, line and backing etc) very quickly so that all of us (students and instructor) are on the same page with terminology.

Well done !
Would have been an "A+" had you mentioned wind direction with respect to the instructor. We'll grant an "A-"
If I wanted to be a bit hypercritical, I'd invoke my comment to, "Send your brief comments....", since you were a bit wordy with your answer to 1. b.). A minor point.

1 a) The instructor’s face is in the shade.
b) It is difficult for students to observe how casting hand’s grip, wrist, and arm locations are related to the other parts of arm and body.
I suggest to cast the line in the other way or in the different angles so that they will be able to see them better.
2 Do you change your fingers’ pressure during the casting?
I spend time to teach students to hold the rod in the relaxing manner.

Nice, brief answers which address each and every question.
Did you give some thought as to the lawn mower noise in the background as likely to be distracting to the students ?
Do you note the direction of the wind onto the rod hand side of the instructor ?
Those omissions would give you a satisfactory grade, but not an "A". Say, "B+".
