| Walter... Sure glad to hear you are doing better ! I fell from my poling platform into the skiff cockpit and damaged my knee. There is a torn medial meniscus (cartilage). Ordinarily that could be taken care of with a simple scope meniscectomy...BUT... it s superimposed on a lot of osteoarthritis. We know from lots of experience that if an arthroscopic removal is done, it will almost surely make the arthritis worse in a short period of time thus leading to total knee replacement. So, I'm on conservative care including medication, lowing my activities, and physical therapy. Good thing is that I am improving. Not enough, however, for all the walking, etc. needed at a Conclave.
