Hello Gordy,
regarding task 5 Aitor and me have made a video on a cast resulting in a curve. Let's discuss what we see in that video.
It shows what the pull back does.

p.s. If I would stop hauling on that cast would it match with task 5 or not? If not, why, if yes, why?
It appears that this video was made from a position beyond and above the caster resulting in a crystal clear view of the cast.

My answer : This cast shows a curve cast augmented by a definite "pull back" mend action. It shows a distinct haul which also helps achieve the curved layout.
The task description, however, includes the statements: "Ho hauling allowed." The Expectations include the phrase, "..they are not aerial mends".
SO my opinion is that this would not be accepted for task 5. as it is now written.
Despite this, when fishing his way of doing it is exactly the way I would do it.
