The tip ring continues to pull the line right up to MCF, it certainly doesn’t stop pulling it at Ally's “point of line launch direction”. Also, in that example, the tip ring continually changes direction, this is a common feature of curves.
None of the commotion that occurred after that made a positive contribution to the cast; these later events are simply undesirable artifacts.

None of these later events may have made much difference to the general direction that the fly leg will travel but I reckon it’s a pretty desirable sort of commotion from an overall cast point of view. What would happen if this commotion didn’t occur ?
What is “the point of line launch direction” for an underpowered curve cast ?
