A correction is needed for question 7.) on the quiz:
The first sentence of that question should have been worded differently as follows :-
7.) You are helping a CCI candidate prepare for his exam. He is using a fast action 6 wt. Sage TCR fly rod. His line is a WF 6 F SA Expert Distance line. The leader is 8' in length and tapered. He does just fine with most of his tasks and easily makes the required distance cast.
Please note the changes in rod and line designations.
(When I wrote the original version, I had just been practicing with my Sage 7 wt TCR.... a prototype 10' rod which they had sent to Tom White who gave it to me. I was reminded that Sage didn't make a 7 wt. 9' TCR rod .... and I don't know if the 10' 7 wt. ever actually became a marketed item. My actual candidate had a Sage TCR 6 wt. 9' rod. I coached that candidate just about 2 weeks ago at the behest of Peter Minnick when I was up in N.Y.)
